FAQs

How long will it take to receive my sugarcane cuttings?

We harvest them fresh and ship them out to get to you in 3 to 5 business days.

What type of growing conditions does sugarcane prefer?

Sugarcane prefers to grow in hot, humid climates with plenty of moisture and fertile soil. Sugarcane grows well in Florida and bordering states.

Where should I plant my sugarcane in the ground?

Sugarcane loves wet areas and full sun. Ask yourself these questions:

On your property, where does the rainwater sit after a storm?

On your property, is there a spot that stays more “spongy” or “squishy” when you walk on it or drive a lawn mower?

Plant them in an area that stays more wet. Add a flag or marker after planting so no one accidentally steps on them or runs them over.

If I order the "Amount of Sticks" (4) what should I expect to receive in the mail?

You can expect 4 sticks about 6 to 8 inches long of sugarcane. Each stick will have about 2 to 4 “nodes” where the sugarcane will sprout from.

How do I plant them?

  • Planting In the Ground: Bury the cuttings horizontally 3 inches below soil, add 2/3 inches of mulch on top, water it in, and let it root. Make sure the area stays moist. Add water if needed
  • Planting In a Pot: Bury cutting horizontally 2 inches below soil, add 2/3 inches of mulch on top, water it in, and let it root. Keep the pots moist in a shaded warm area.

How long does it take until I start to see sugarcane sprouting up after I plant the cuttings?

Roughly 4 weeks. We’ve seen them come up in as soon as two weeks. Make sure the soil does not dry out while waiting for them to sprout up.

Are these Sugarcane Sticks for eating or for planting?

Our Sugarcane Propagations shipped right to your doorstep are for planting. We do not recommend eating them.

How long should I wait to plant them once they arrive at my doorstep?

Plant them in soil the same day they arrive at your doorstep. This gives you the best chance to sprout the sugarcane clippings.

Missing Planting Guide

No information or guide on planting included but after reachng out the planting video was provided and is very good. Fingers crossed these cuttings sprout, but they look like they have begun. More to come as they grow.

Thank you for the feedback about the Planting Guide and for your support with placing an order! We apologize for the miscommunication. We enlarged the QR code scanner and website link on all recipts added to the Sugarcane Propagation packages moving forward so it is easier to see.

Best of luck with your Sugarcane Propagations!!

Can’t wait!

Cuttings came well packed and in great condition. Reached out to get some advice on best practices to make them thrive and Growinn responded quickly with a video reference. Now it’s just a waiting game.

Love this Sugar Cane!

Wow -- we planted a few of these cuttings a couple weeks ago and we are seeing great sprouts! Can't wait to keep growing our own fresh cane and juice it for ourselves.
