FAQs
How long will it take to receive my Yuca cuttings?
We harvest them fresh and ship them out to get to you in 5 to 7 business days.

What type of growing conditions does Yuca prefer?
Well-drained, sandy soil is ideal. Yuca roots can rot in waterlogged soil.

Where should I plant my Yuca in the ground?
In an area on your property that has full/mostly full sun. Plant them in an area that has well-draining soil. Florida's "sandy" soil is perfect. Do not plant them in a place that holds water. The roots will rot if where you plant stays more moist.

If I order the "Amount of Sticks" (6) what should I expect to receive in the mail?
You can expect 6 sticks, about 6 to 8 inches long of Yuca. There will be a good amount of "nodes" where the leaves of the Yuca will sprout out of. From each Yuca stick, you should be able to create AT LEAST 2 to 3 Yuca plants.

        How do I plant them?
Planting In the Ground: Dig a hole in the prepared soil that is deep enough for the Yuca cutting. Plant the cutting at a slight angle (about 45 degrees) to encourage drainage and prevent water from pooling at the base. Add mulch around the cutting, water it in, add a market flag so no one steps on the newly planted Yuca stick.
Planting In a Pot: There are a few different ways to sprout Yuca in a pot before planting it in the ground. Bury half of the cutting horizontally, add a few inches of mulch on top, water it in, and let it root. OR bury the Yuca stick vertically with half the stick sticking up out of the pot, add a few inches of mulch on top, water it in, and let it root.We include a link to video planting instructions in your box that gets shipped right to your door on the receipt.

How long does it take until I start to see Yuca sprouting up after I plant the cuttings?
Your Yuca cutting should sprout a leaf within 4 weeks. We’ve seen them come up in as soon as a week. Make sure the soil does not dry out while waiting for them to sprout up in a pot (if you decide to use a pot first).
